January 19th 2026 Curved Unistrut + Gear‑Blocks: It’s Officially Possible
Over the past year, we’ve had several customers ask whether Gear‑Blocks hooks could work on curved Unistrut—specifically a 3‑ft radius curved strut available from McMaster‑Carr. Early on, the answer was unfortunately no: our existing hooks were simply too wide to smoothly navigate the curve.
Fast‑forward to today. Thanks to continued customer collaboration, some late‑night problem‑solving, and a small but critical design tweak, we’re happy to share that Gear‑Blocks hooks can now work on curved Unistrut.
This breakthrough came from a real‑world customer project, careful experimentation, and a willingness to iterate. The result is a lower‑profile swivel hook configuration that successfully rolls through the curve while maintaining the strength and functionality Gear‑Blocks is known for.
